A few months ago, during a conversation I was having with God, He suggested I record the events of the first 6 months after my conversion to Christianity. My conversion had to be very real to me because I wasn't interested in a theoretical relationship with God, nor a religious one. God more than proved He was very practical, especially in those first 6 months.

I started by recording my stories for a podcast series and committed to broadcasting once a week. I had many experiences and examples and was enthusiastic to share them. It was difficult to keep them to what happened during my first amazing 6 months. As you will read, I had experiences which people often said would make a good story to write in a book.

I resisted writing a book because my writing skills were difficult to follow. I have a degree of dyslexia, which affects the way I write. My wife knows what I am trying to say, so she edits my work. We now laugh at the corrections we make as she calls them Lloyd sentences because I wrote them the wrong way around. Like putting the cart before the horse!

To my delight and comfort, she doesn’t say this very often now because of the work I have put into my writing. I believe I am being healed incrementally, as I write, and now notice when I lapse into old habits of sentences written around the wrong way.

I was recently listening to a book coach who was enrolling new students in his course and he said, why not write your testimony as your first book? After hearing this, I stopped my podcasts and started writing instead. I have many chapters to write and rather than letting the distractions of all the memories echo as I write; I am now using each of them as an individual chapter topic.

My prayer is you enjoy them and put any relevant testimonies into practice for yourself.
